​For an after-hours doctor's appointment, please try CareHQ. Your consultation is free if you have Southern Cross Health Insurance and use the My Southern Cross app to book your appointment.
If you’re not a Southern Cross member, use the CareHQ app. It’s free to download.​With CareHQ you can set up a virtual GP consultation from your home, workplace, holiday house, or anywhere.
CareHQ operates 7.00am-7.00pm, 7 days a week.
All CareHQ doctors are experienced, New Zealand-registered Members of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, so you’ll be in safe hands.
During your consultation, your doctor will ask if you would like your appointment notes forwarded to Freemans Bay Medical to ensure continuity of care.​

Advice is just a phone call away. Our nurses are highly skilled at advising, managing, and treating a wide range of conditions across all age groups. After you’ve spoken with a nurse, they may ask you to come in for a nurse appointment.

Nurse consultations cover ear infections, skin infections, sinusitis, sore throat, mastitis, conjunctivitis, contraception, STIs, UTIs (female only), headlice, eczema, and help with quitting smoking.
